Nutrition is a big part of what we do here at Peak Fitness Camp. We will provide you with resources outlining the best ways to modify your diet to support your active lifestyle and we will educate you on how to fuel your body for your chosen sport or simply for improved healthy living with our Sports Nutrition session.
On our Peak Fitness camp you will be pushing your body to the limit and it will need to be nourished properly. Our nutrition plan is designed to keep your body working at its optimum level. You can expect healthy meals and nutritious snacks throughout your stay .
All meals are freshly prepared by our chef, using the very best available ingredients. On the Saturday evening, after a full day of intense physical and mental training on the mountains, you will need a lot of refuelling to fill those tanks! So back at base camp you will enjoy a scrumptious Caveman style BBQ serving wholesome foods that our hunter-gatherer ancestors would have thrived on during the Paleolithic era. You won’t go hungry if you don’t want to!
When booking on camp you will be asked to fill out a form, part of which will ask you if you have any special dietary needs or food allergies. We can cater for all dietary requirements and where necessary tailor dishes to your individual needs. If one of your fitness objectives is to lose weight, we can set you up on a restricted calorie intake. It will be a safe volume of nutritious food to match the training that you are doing, and the same menu as all campers. So if you’d like to lose a couple of pounds then just let us know when you are signing up.
Not only will you be eating clean on camp but our Camp leader will be giving an interactive sports workshop on the Saturday, about performance nutrition and living clean too. The session will offer tips and advice on changes you can make to improve your overall fitness and to enhance your sporting performance.
